I can count on one hand the writers who have shaped me more than Matt Bruenig. Over the years, his stuff has taken what used to be just a frustrated, amorphous conviction of injustice and channeled it into a material, pragmatic, achievable socio-economic vision. Suffice it to say, being asked to design his think tank’s inaugural report—coauthored between Matt and Ryan Cooper—was an extraordinary honor. Better yet, the report itself is a blistering, sobering, lucid, clearly-written, eminently timely, data-backed denouement on the devastation of black wealth that happened—cruelly unnecessarily—under Obama. It’s good.

And don’t take my word for it—take Splinter News's, The Dig's, or Killer Mike’s.

What follows are a handful of sample pages. (The full report clocks in at 30 pages.)

Media & Public Broadcasting

From 2010 to 2015, I was a lead designer and front-end developer for PBS KIDS Digital and NPR’s Southern California Public Radio (KPCC).

In addition, I occasionally produce my own civic-educational pieces.
